Promotional Space Ltd is a privately owned company based in Reigate. The company originally began as FF Promotions;〔("FF Promotions rebrands as business booms" ), ''Horticulture Week'', 16 March 2012〕 later changing its name in 2012 to better reflect the company's purpose. Initially focused on working with the garden centre industry; the company broadened its range of venues to include shopping centres and supermarkets.〔(Somerville, Michael. "Tesco pinning hope on local businesses to improve flagging sales" ), ''Retail Gazette'', 20 June 2014〕 In 2009 Wyevale Garden Centres awarded Promotional Space Limited an exclusive contract to manage all its short term business within its 129 sites. This contract was awarded for 4 years during which time Promotional Space Limited developed its business model to be the only Agency working within the garden centre Industry. During this period, Promotional Space had contracts and arrangements with the following garden centres; Hilliers, Notcutts, Blue Diamond, Klondykes, Squires and Garden and Leisure. Many arrangements with garden centres within the UK are still in place today. In 2013, Tesco’s asked Promotional Space Limited to develop its in-store concessions, an arrangement it is still working with to-date. The initial focus for Promotional Space was within the garden centre sector with the concept being promoted to garden centre managers and owners alike. The success of First Franchise, a company also owned by Ian Silverton did assist the initial discussions with garden centres throughout the UK. The success of Promotional Space was recognised at the GLEE awards in 2010 when Promotional Space Limited was shortlisted for sales and marketing initiative of the year. Ian Silverton was also listed as the 52nd most influential individual in the garden centre sector in the Horticultural Week Garden Retailers Power 100.〔(Appleby, Matthew.
